Don’t love pumpkin pie?
I know it can’t just be my family who doesn’t love pumpkin pie so for those who don’t and just want to have a bit of fun making this either by themselves or with the kiddos this pie-shaped Thanksgiving Rice Krispies dessert is a tasty and fun treat. It’s super quick to put together and oh so cute when it’s done, how fun!

Ingredients
- Mini marshmallows
- Butter
- Rice Krispies
- Orange gel colouring
If you want to include our vanilla buttercream frosting then you will also need the following:
- Icing Sugar
- Heavy Cream
- Vanilla extract
- Butter
Easy Treat with a Season Twist
Almost everyone knows how to make Rice Krispies treats and this is just giving it a different shape than the squares and a little food colouring. It’s easy to make, you want to set up the “pie crust first” which is just the regular Rice Krispies treat mix and mold it around the inside edges of the pie pan. Then you do the “pie filling” which will of course be the orange coloured Rice Krispies mix by pressing it inside the crust.
Want a little pumpkin spice flavour?
While not everyone (like us) loves pumpkin pie some of us still like some pumpkin spice flavour and you can have that if you want with this Thanksgiving Rice Krispies Pumpkin Pie. Just add some pumpkin pie spice to the frosting, even better do a pumpkin spice cream cheese frosting for garnish. It will add a nice but subtle pumpkin pie spice flavour.
Make sure to PIN this fun treat so you can find it later!

- 1/3 cup of butter

- Take the white mixture and press into a pie pan. You want a circle of white around the pan. Press it well into the sides

Now doesn’t this Thanksgiving Rice Krispies Pumpkin Pie look so easy to make? I know in our family no one is too old for Rice Krispies treats, we all seem to have a bit of a weakness for them. We don’t eat them often maybe that’s why we devour them when we do make some hmmm I wonder…
How do you store these Thanksgiving Rice Krispies Treats?
You store them the same way you would regular Rice Krispies Treats, they are good 2-3 days in an airtight container at room temperature. You can also freeze them but it should be in an airtight container and if you don’t have a container than Ziploc freezer bags also work, just get as much of the air out as you can. To defrost just let them sit at room temperature to defrost.
